Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Prep the Oven & Baking Sheet

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Mix Dry Ingredients

In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

3. Mix Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth. Add egg yolk and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.

4. Combine & Fold in Chocolate Chips

Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until a dough forms. Fold in chocolate chips evenly.

5. Shape the Cookies

Scoop about 2 tablespoons of dough per cookie and roll into balls. Place on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.

6. Bake

Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden but the center looks slightly underbaked.
